What Is A Virtual Office?

Learn about virtual offices and how they can benefit your business.

October 11, 2020 //  by Hartwell Business Center

Also known as virtual mailboxes and virtual addresses, virtual offices are a smart way to get a professional address for your home or web based business.

It’s a great solution for any business owner who doesn’t want to use their home address on their business listings.

How do virtual offices work?

In a true virtual office, you can have your mail delivered to a street address and receive notifications and opened mail online…you never need to step foot inside our space.

With our services, you can choose to come into the building to receive your mail or have it forwarded, shredded, or sent virtually.

In many cases, you may not even ever have any mail sent to the physical address. You will just use the address for maintaining your own privacy.

What businesses can benefit from a virtual office?

If you’re running an online business that has no physical address and/or you are working from your home, a virtual office is the perfect solution.

Other needs include expanding your business into surrounding areas or states. A virtual office is a much more cost effective option than investing in additional real estate.

Perhaps your business functions part time in a nearby city or town, or you are not available to accept mail or packages at your place of business.

In fact, you may not be a business at all. In some living situations (like apartments and dorms), mail is delivered in an inconvenient or unsafe space.

Whatever your need, we can ensure your mail is kept private and secure.

Can’t I just get a PO Box?

A P.O. Box is another choice, but everyone knows that a PO Box is not an office. With a virtual office, you get the same benefit of privacy and a more professional address.

Additionally, some business activities that require an address, like email marketing and a business license will not accept a PO Box.

Another difference is that we can process your mail for you in several ways. You are welcome to come in and pick up your mail, or let us know if you’d like it forwarded, shredded, or uploaded to your virtual account.

How much does it cost?

The cost is based on how much mail you receive, whether you just want virtual services, and whether you request forwarding services.

Pricing packages start at $19.99 and go up from there. See our full range of virtual mail services.
